Sometimes we create our own

Although I haven't seen the family who raised me since I was a teenager, I do still have a family.  My friends and cats are exactly what I need in my life and they're the most important thing in the world to me.  I still don't have a complete understanding of natural family dynamics, but it's fun to observe and I'm often quite relieved that I don't have to deal with it.
